MFS Equipment in Myofunctional Therapy

Discover the modern equipment we use in therapy

In our practice, we use MFS (Multifunctional System) equipment that supports therapy for functions such as chewing, swallowing, and breathing. Stimulators may be part of work on tongue position, lip closure, and breathing pathway when selected after functional assessment.

Nasal Stimulator

Supports nasal breathing

What it's for:

Consists of two tubes with a stabilizer, stimulates the muscles of the nasal wings and septum.

How it supports therapy:

May support work on airflow through the nose and changing the breathing pathway from mouth to nose.

Lip Stimulator

Supports lip closure and tongue position

What it's for:

An oval device with upper and lower bands, works by stimulating the orbicularis oris muscles and their antagonists.

How it supports therapy:

May support work on lip closure at rest, surrounding muscle tension, and tongue position during swallowing.

Oral Obturator

Helps change breathing pathway

What it's for:

A functional plate that adapts to the dental arches, acting as an isolator that limits mouth breathing.

How it supports therapy:

Helps switch breathing to the nose while stimulating lip muscles and supporting muscle control when closing the mouth.

Relief Stimulator

Relieves tension in masticatory muscles

What it's for:

Combines muscle relaxation function with tooth relief element; used for excessive tension, grinding, or clenching teeth.

How it supports therapy:

May support work on masticatory muscle tension, occlusal force control, and muscular coordination when selected by a practitioner.
