Neurological speech therapy for children and adults
We work with people after neurological events, and with children whose speech is developing differently. We start from what the patient can do today and build the next steps on that. The pace follows their ability, not a calendar.
Myofunctional and orthodontic support
We work on swallowing, breathing and tongue rest posture, because the three affect one another. This therapy is sometimes needed before orthodontic treatment and during it. In those cases we set our scope around the orthodontist's instructions.
Infant consultation and feeding therapy
A neurological speech consultation for infants covers sucking, swallowing and tension around the face. We suggest feeding therapy when meals are hard or tiring for the child. Parents leave with specific things to do at home.
Speech and communication support
We run classic articulation therapy, from single sounds to a whole articulation pattern. Where there is an indication we draw on SI, AAC, GOPEX, ENMOT and MFS. The assessment picks the method, not whatever happens to be in the room.
