What are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser on a user's device. This policy also describes localStorage, a similar browser storage mechanism.

Why do we use these technologies?

We use them to:

• remember the selected website theme
• store the contact-form draft locally on the user's device
• build aggregated website-use statistics with Umami without cookies
• show the interactive Google map embedded directly on the page

Technologies used on the website

Necessary storage

We may store the contact-form draft in localStorage, including the information entered by the user, so it can be restored on a later visit. The draft remains on the user's device, is not sent to our server, and can be removed by clearing website data or resetting the form.

Functional technologies

The theme and theme-resolved cookies store the selected theme for up to one year. We store them because the user chose the appearance themselves, and they can be removed by clearing website data in the browser. The interactive Google map is embedded directly on the page. Once it loads, Google may process technical data under its own privacy policy.

Analytics

Umami runs without cookies and is used to create aggregated website-use statistics. In this configuration, it does not require analytics consent. We do not send contact-form content to it.

Marketing

The website currently loads no marketing or advertising tools and uses no marketing cookies. This category stays disabled until such a tool is deployed and described.

Third-party services

Some features use external services:

• Resend - delivery of contact-form email messages.
• Cloudflare Turnstile - protection of the form from automated abuse.
• Umami - aggregated analytics without cookies, according to the tool's configuration.
• Google Maps - interactive map embedded directly on the page.

Managing settings

We show no consent banner, because we use no analytics or marketing cookies, and the earlier optional categories controlled no tool. You can remove the stored theme and the form draft at any time by clearing website data in your browser settings. Your browser can also block cookies for the whole site and block content embedded from external services, including the map; the website will still work.

How to delete stored data

You can delete stored data in your browser settings, by clearing website data or localStorage:

• Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data or Site data
• Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
• Safari: Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data
• Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies

Consent rules

Visit statistics are collected without storing or reading anything on the device. The website theme and the form draft are stored because you chose or entered them yourself, and they only restore your own settings. Two things we state plainly: the theme cookies last up to one year, which is longer than a typical interface preference, and the Google map is embedded directly, so once it loads the browser connects to Google servers, which may then process technical data. We use no analytics or marketing tools that store data on the device. If we ever deploy one, we will ask for consent before running it.
